Respite Program at AMIB
David R. Bixel was a dedicated president of the AMIB Endowment Fund, Inc. In recognition of his compassion for the disabled and their families, the AMIB Endowment Fund Board of Trustees established the Bixel Respite Fund. This annual grant program provides respite services to families in need. Grant monies may be utilized to:
- Acquire AMIB direct care services, including in–home and community based supports
- Obtain qualifying respite supports rendered by other service providers OR offset the cost of family-chosen respite services
- Procure a combination of the two aforementioned services
Grants are awarded based on need. The application process is overseen by designated AMIB representatives. For more information, please call (732) 262-0082 and ask for the AMIB Director of Operations.
